Note to editors:Rock The River SA was created out of the need for an alternative New Year’s Eve party event, outside of the city, where punters could go to to relax and enjoy South African music in an intimate, safe and picturesque environment. With Cape Town being widely regarded as the party destination of choice for many South Africans come year’s end, the options for non-mainstream, small yet professionally run events are far and few between, Rock The River aims to correct this imbalance by providing an annual event that is never sold beyond a maximum of 1000 revellers. The first Rock The River SA was limited to 500 and organisers felt that there was definitely room for expansion whilst keeping the Rock The River ethos intact. Rock The River SA is situated on the banks of the Berg River (80 minutes drive out of Cape Town, 20 minutes drive from Wellington). For media opportunities, visuals, accreditation or artist interview requests, please contact –Jon Monsoon at Plus 1 Media PRoductions (monsoon)
