No More Trouble from Deep Fried Man is Not Amused is currently no. 10 on the top 10 downloaded songs on Channel24.co.za, the arts and entertainment section of the 24.com website.
So I need a small favour. The track is at no. 10, and I have a special request. Please go to the following link and download the track. Maybe it will then move up the charts and stop being at number 10 and start being at number 1 so I can finally live the life of rock superstardom that i feel i have always deserved and buy that private jet i have had my eyes on.

The track also received a 5 star rating on the site and there is a little review saying nice things including ‘Imagine Rodriguez sharing a toke with Jack Johnson and you’re almost there’. I love reviews like that. It has inspired me to write my own review of my music, which is as follows: ‘Imagine Barry Manilow racing Prince on a quad bike but Prince is only on a unicycle and then they both crash into Aretha Franklin who is selling coat hangers on a street corner to the ghost of Elliot Smith while Lady Gaga makes lewd gestures in the distance’. I’m sure that you will agree that this is a pretty accurate description of my sound.
By the way, the awesome upcoming Deeply Fried gig on Thursday night at the Bo is on the 12th, not on the 13th as my previous email had led me to believe. My bad.
Also, this weekend was great, what with supporting Gert Vlok Nel in Pretoria, playing at the Slaughterhouse 5 animal rights concert in Fourways and playing at Cantina Tequila in Linden last night with Neca from Gents of Leisure, Dave Boudains from New Academics, Vinny and Gavin from Vendetta Cartel and more. Thanks to all of you who supported, and especially the new people on this mailing list and the peeps who bought my album.
And remember, Deep Fried Man loves you, in a platonic, almost fatherly kind of way.
